About the artist
Hi! I’m Rowan — an artist, designer, and instructional design professional. I blend creativity, technology, and education to craft learning experiences that are both visually engaging and deeply practical.
My background in digital media, design, and storytelling shapes how I approach instructional design: with a focus on clarity, empathy, and creativity. Alongside my art portfolio, you’ll find my work in corporate training development, multimedia learning design, and emerging educational technologies.
This site also features my blog, where I share reflections and insights on design, learning science, and the role of technology in education. It’s a space for exploring ideas, experimenting with new tools, and connecting creativity with impact.
Whether you’re here for the art, the design, or the learning innovations, I hope you find something that resonates. Thanks for visiting!
Beyond the work
When I’m not designing or diving into new learning technologies, you can usually find me doing something hands-on and creative. I love baking (especially when I can gift treats to friends and coworkers), getting lost in a good fantasy book — Kingdom of Ash and the Mistborn trilogy are my all-time favorites — or immersing myself in video games and board games.
I’m also a lifelong crafter with more art supplies than I’ll ever admit out loud. If there’s a hobby that involves making something, I’ve probably tried it… and still have the materials tucked away somewhere.
At home, I live with my husband and our three cats — Mochi, Zagreus, and Luna — who happily keep life entertaining.
Thanks for taking the time to explore my work; I’m glad you’re here.
